Immunity Amp daily mix-in powder ingredients: breakdown, benefit & dosage.

Our Daily Mix-In Powder Makes Sense

So, what the heck is a mix-in powder? In our case, densely nutrient powders you mix into… well, pretty much anything. We like it in our coffee, smoothies & yogurt bowls. At CHRG, we’re all about reducing our carbon footprint & a powder has a significantly smaller manufacturing impact on this big beautiful planet.

Our mix-in powder if fully packed with nutrient amounts that work. Unlike tablets & capsules which are limited in the amount of actives they can provide per 2 or 3 capsules. This usually means they are under-efficacious or under dosed. We don't like doing things half-ass and Mix-In became our solution.

Powders allow for quicker & easier digestion without the added ingredients needed to make a tablet or capsule. This completely eliminates an entire step in production! CHRG will never give you a product in those forms because we believe our powders are better for the planet & a better way for you to get your health dialed.

CHRG Cordyceps.png

Organic Cordyceps Sinensis

Medical mushroom acting as a strong adaptogen

INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN +

CHRG Immunity Amp integrates a cultivated Organic Cordyceps Sinensis species grown on oats. As the mushroom grows the food source slowly becomes part of the entire mushroom, called the Mycelium. It has been shown that there are major benefits in the Mycelium so we have included that part in the product. Always look for a mushroom product with Mycelium because you don’t want to miss out on all those added benefits.

Cordyceps belongs to the family of numerous mushrooms, which are parasitic organisms & grow on various insects and anthropods in the high plateaus of Nepal & Tibet. Historically, Cordyceps was used in ancient Asia exclusively in the Emperor’s palace because they were so rare. However, today they are cultivated on a large scale using oats & making them available to everyone. Cordyceps in was most commonly used for kidney disorders, for liver problems, increase sperm production, increase blood production, anti-depressant, persistent cough, excessive tiredness, anemia & impotence.

Today, they have discovered that Cordyceps have massive amounts of bioactive components. Some of these extracted components include Cordycepin, Ergosterol, Mannitol, Adenosine, Polysaccharide (also known as Beta-Glucan), Sterol, Nucleoside, Protein, Amino Acids, and Polypeptides. In the study below, these components had corresponding pharmacological actions shown to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-tumor, anti-apoptosis and immunomodulatory actions.

It is difficult at this point to determine which parts or components of Cordyceps Sinensis are contributing to its positive effects on the human immune system. Further research and technological advances will eventually identify and isolate certain components for certain specific benefits. However, because the science has not yet reached this level of sophistication, we have added the complete species along with the Mycelium which, as discussed, has been shown to have benefits beyond the fruiting body alone.

PERFORMANCE BENEFITS +

CHRG® HARDER WITH CORDYCEPS Cordyceps Sinensis has also been recognized as an adaptogen, meaning that it can non-specifically enhance the human body. According to the primary definition of adaptogens, these substances must be non-specific and must assist the human body in resisting a wide range of adverse conditions, such as physical, chemical or biological stress. These stressors may include environmental contaminates, climate stressor, radiation, infectious diseases and emotional stress. These adaptogens must maintain homeostasis without disrupting normal body functions, that is, these substances can offset or resist physical ailments caused by external stress. If there is one thing extreme people should be putting in their body it should be a daily dose of Cordyceps Sinensis.

Cordyceps is believed to increase the body’s production of the energy molecule (ATP) Adenosine Triphosphate. ATP is responsible for delivering energy to all bodily cells from the lung to muscles. It is responsible for healthy function and biochemical pathways. The Cordyceps potential on ATP production may increase energy output throughout the day.

PROPER DOSAGE +

There is not a recommended amount we should be consuming. Research and benefits have been observed between 1-3 grams. CHRG Immunity Amp decided on 1.9 gram as the best option for amplifying this innate immune response.

CHRG Immudyne.png

Immudyne®

Potent Beta-Glucan that increases body’s immune potential

INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN +

CHRG Immunity Amp contains a patent-protected yeast beta 1,3-D-glucan, also known as, beta-glucan. The multi-step process extracts the purist form of insoluble yeast beta-glucan, this is important because other extracts of beta-glucan can show large amounts of impurities you don’t really want in your immunity product. The beta-glucan found in Immudyne primes the innate immune response.

Working, similar to, Vitamin D’s immune activation, beta-glucan activates neutrophils, B-lymphocytes, T-helper cells, Natural Killer 1 cells, and macrophages sent to destroy pathogens. So, it works very similar to Vitamin D when looking at the overall amplification of the immune system, but it gets there following a different pathway. The advantage of beta glucan is that it can be taken orally and it is acid resistant so it passes through the stomach unchanged. In addition, the intestine lacks a specific enzyme that can break it down. Beta glucan can initiate immunity but does not over stimulate – the white blood cells in the immune system. This is important because we want to keep the immune system primed and ready to attack pathogens, and Immudyne beta-glucan does this.

Cordyceps also contains beta-glucan, not only from the mushroom itself but from the Mycelium. What impact do these have beyond immunity? Stay tuned, research is beginning to uncover the benefits of mushroom beta-glucans. If you’re counting, CHRG Immunity Amp contains three different types of beta-glucan all which have their benefits to the body.

PERFORMANCE BENEFITS +

CHRG® HARDER WITH BETA-GLUCAN Discussed or not, a top performance is dependent on many things. The body must be injury free, fully recovered, hydrated, fueled, mentally positive and free of sickness. Yes, many of us just go out and do our thing, but when we really think about it, so many things need to be in order, for us to perform optimally, and having a strong immune system is just as important as being injury free.

CHRG Immunity Amp has been scientifically researched and developed based on the components, of the formula, to all work in concert and thus amplifying the immune response these components could never do alone or with different sources of ingredients. We dug in deep and trialed ourselves, so we know you’ll see the difference in whatever you decide to charge in life.

PROPER DOSAGE +

The Beta-Glucan we have added to our CHRG Immunity Amp Daily Mix-In Powder is one of the purest forms available and because of this it has a very low dosage response at 30 mg each day. In the case of Beta-Glucan 1,3 – more is not necessarily better.

Astragin®

Mighty nutrient absorption booster

INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN +

CHRG Immunity Amp The nutrients we ingest must be digested & absorbed before they can do any function in the body. The rate of digestion & absorption determine what nutrients can be available for use in the blood stream for various systems in our bodies.

Our small intestine is where nutrient components from Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Zinc, Cordyceps & Immudyne are selectively absorbed via the intestinal lumen, crossing the brush border membrane via transporter proteins. In studies, this specialized root extract, has been shown to boost absorption, bioavailability of nutrients & to support the release of messenger RNA (mRNA), an important nutrient transporter protein. This means a greater amount of nutrients can be absorbed into the body.

PERFORMANCE BENEFITS +

CHRG® HARDER WITH ASTRAGIN Astragin is a powerful ingredient for increasing biological value through better absorption of nutrients. However, that’s not where the benefits stop with this amazing ingredient, all human cells depend on Adenosine TriPhosphate (ATP), AKA energy, to perform basic physiological & biochemical activities. Take for instance, lung function, Astragin may up-regulate metabolic pathways optimizing the efficiency of lung tissue & cells to generate ATP (energy) from nutrients, this translates into greater lung function which optimizes overall well-being throughout the entire body. We all know, especially starting in 2020, how important proper lung function is to our health & the body's response to sickness or stress.

PROPER DOSAGE +

Benefits have been continuously shown at 50mg. CHRG Immunity Amp supplies your body with the right amount of Astragin so you get the absolute most of our other immune-amplifying ingredients.

CHRG Vitamin C.png

Vitamin C

Powerhouse antioxidant that cranks up immunity

INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN +

CHRG Immunity Amp uses a buffered Vitamin C to make digestion easy on the stomach. Ascorbic Acid alone can produce gastric irritation so we’ve combined ascorbic acid with sea salt to increase the pH level so your stomach will never feel like you even took Vitamin C.

Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is an essential nutrient found naturally in some foods or available as a dietary supplement. Humans are unable to make vitamin C endogenously which makes it imperative that we consistently get Vitamin C in our diet. It acts as an antioxidant, limiting inflammation and tissue damage associated with immune responses. Vitamin C without a doubt is most recognized for its antioxidant properties and its ability to neutralize reactive oxygen species (ROS) (see graphic below) and can also recycle important cellular antioxidants.

Even in small quantities vitamin C protects critical molecules in the body such as proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, and the nucleic acids, DNA and RNA, from damage by ROS. ROS can be generated during normal metabolism, by active immune cells, and through exposure to modifying factors like, physical exertion, physical stress, oxidative stress, smoking and chemicals or chemotherapy drugs.

PERFORMANCE BENEFITS +

CHRG® HARDER WITH VITAMIN C Vitamin C is important in protein metabolism, collagen synthesis and helps repair tissues. This is all good news for somebody who pushes themselves on the regular. All the positive stuff Vitamin C does for the immune system, is in a way very similar to the pathways it follows during exercise induced inflammation. In other words, if the immune system is working it can be the same thing as the body recovering from exercise. The stress is not identical to getting a cold but many of the same systems are activated and working. The body needs adequate Vitamin C to heal and repair.

PROPER DOSAGE +

The FDA recently increased the requirement for Vitamin C from 60mg to 90mg per serving (that's 50%!). While the body is a great eliminatory of processing too much Vitamin C, too little means the body is not ready to work. It's has been widely agreed that 500mg – 800mg daily is an adequate amount to keep the body well saturated and at a safe levels. CHRG Immunity Amp supplies your body with 200% of your daily value.

CHRG Zinc.png

Zinc Gluconate

Bad ass of immunity minerals

INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN +

CHRG Immunity Amp contains excellent amounts of Zinc Gluconate. It is a dietary essential mineral, therefore, humans must regularly get Zinc into their diet. It's the third most deficient micro-nutrient in the American diet and especially in the elderly.

Zinc participates in numerous biological functions, including some 300 enzymes, and was first discovered to be of prime importance in growth and development. Today, it's now understood to be the most important trace mineral for proper immune function, including cell health to facilitate oxygen transport and storage, and zinc can also assist several antioxidant enzymatic reactions.

It is estimated that nearly 2 billion people worldwide are deficient in Zinc, and inadequate levels can limit an individual’s ability to provide an adequate immune response to infections as well as creating other imbalances in body function.

One important study is a multiple, meta-analyses and pooled analyses of randomized controlled trials which have shown that oral Zinc supplementation reduces the incidence rate of acute respiratory infections by 35%, and a shortened duration of flu-like symptoms by approximately 2 days, and improved rate of recovery. Zinc’s absorption is increased by getting adequate supply of Vitamin D.

PERFORMANCE BENEFITS +

CHRG® HARDER WITH ZINC Because hard working bodies can create zinc deficiencies, it's important to be taking in zinc to help heal injuries and muscle damage. However, too much can also create other mineral deficiencies, so stick to the 11 mg found in CHRG Immunity Amp.

PROPER DOSAGE +

As with many vitamins and mineral involved in the immune function the problems arise when adequate intake is not achieved. This inadequate intake sets the body up for a poor response to pathogens, bacteria and viruses which then determines the outcome on the body and cells. If we take into consideration the population which is most susceptible to COVID-19, it is apparent that poor nutrient status of Zinc and Vitamin D can only make matters worse.

So, it is necessary and important to keep those surging through the body on a daily basis. The Daily Recommmended Value for Zinc is an adequate amount to take on a daily basis, taking more than the DRV can create other issues, so we have kept it at an optimal amount of 11 mg per daily serving.

CHRG Vitamin D3.png

Vitamin D3

MVP nutrient for today’s immune health

INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN +

CHRG Immunity Amp uses one of the only vegan sourced and sustainable Vitamin D3 available. This product is only derived from sustainable algae. Vitamin D3, known as Cholecalciferol, is the most bioavailable source of Vitamin D for the human body, in fact, the Vitamin D we synthesized is from the sun.

For years, it has been known, studied, and proven that Vitamin D benefits our bones and muscles. However, recent research and a global epidemic has brought Vitamin D deficiency and its impact on the immune system to the forefront. It’s one of the 24 micronutrients critical to human survival and every single cell in the body has a receptor for Vitamin D. The most studied and proven benefits from Vitamin D are support for bones, teeth, brain, nervous system, as well as regulating insulin and blood sugar levels. It supports the health of the immune system, lung function and cardiovascular health.

Everybody needs Vitamin D for normal function and growth of the body. A deficiency can create many issues. Globally, over 1 billion people are deficient in Vitamin D because they don’t get enough sunshine, eat poorly due to lack of access to nutritious food or they have underlying health problems. Studies show that Vitamin D lowers the risk of contracting infections in the lungs, including those from viruses and bacteria. It speeds up the immune cell response to infections by greatly minimizing pathogenic spread into healthy cells. Zinc absorption is enhanced by Vitamin D, too, and this helps activate T cells, from the thymus, which attach and destroy viruses before they can replicate.

PERFORMANCE BENEFITS +

CHRG® HARDER WITH VITAMIN D3 We know Vitamin D is a key player in bone health, immunity and inflammatory response. It also may potentially be necessary for peak muscle function, muscle force and muscle velocity resulting in greater performance in athletes and adventurers alike. While this specific area of study is somewhat in its infancy relative to other applications, insights into the importance of Vitamin D correlating to performance will continue to grow.

PROPER DOSAGE +

Vitamin D, is a fat soluble vitamin and can be stored in the body, so very large doses can cause issues if continually ingested. The NIH warns that consuming over 100 mcg daily can potentially be toxic if taken for long periods of time. We’ve included a safe and steady amount of 56 mcg in our CHRG Immunity Amp Daily Mix-In Powder.

Organic Cassava Root

Smart & efficient courier of Coconut MCTs

INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN +

CHRG Immunity Amp contains organic Cassava Root. It's considered a tuber similar in appearance to the sweet potato. The Cassava is a jungle plant, native to the tropical regions of the West Indies & Central and South America. It is a starchy, root crop that is often referred to as 'yuca' or with the more general name, arrowroot. The version we use is organic & is considered a Tapioca Maltodextrin by proper nomenclature.

PERFORMANCE BENEFITS +

CHRG® HARDER WITH ORGANIC CASSAVA ROOT Organic Tapioca Maltodextrin is a neutral-flavored, slightly sweet, white-to-off-white powder used as a bulking & thickening agent, carrier & texturizer.

Yes, this is the dreaded filler used in many protein powders & other food & supplements that many have used to their cost advantage by dilluting their product down. Rest assured, we are not adding as a bulking agent, but as the carrier for our Coconut MCTs. It's nearly impossible to turn liquid coconut fat into a free-flowing powder, but Tapioca Maltodextrin is hands down the best at delivering coconut fat at a 70%+ powder isolate.

In the name of good faith and transparency, CHRG Immunity Amp contains 3g of carbohydrates, of which 1.2g is Tapioca Maltodextrin from Cassava Root, the other carbs come from the Cordyceps Mushrooms.

PROPER DOSAGE +

CHRG Immunity Amp Daily Mix-In Powder provides 1.2g of Tapioca Maltodextrin & complex carbohydrate with a negligible effect on blood sugar.
